Job No:
PLY104
Location:
Swan Hill
We’re looking for a hands-on, practical and confident People & Culture Manager to join Polymaster.
This isn't a role where you'll spend your days pushing paperwork around.
You'll be out in the business, talking to our people, working alongside managers and supervisors, solving problems and making things happen.
What you'll own
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day People & Culture function, including:
- Recruitment and getting the right people in the right roles
- Employee relations, performance and conduct
- Supporting managers to lead their teams effectively
- Onboarding and employee lifecycle
- Leadership and capability development
- HR policies, compliance and employment matters
- Employee engagement and culture
- HR systems, reporting and continuous improvement
- Supporting workforce planning and organisational change
You'll be the person managers come to when they have a people problem — and you'll be expected to help solve it.
We're looking for someone who...
Gets amongst it. You won't be afraid to walk through production, have a chat with the team or get involved when something isn't working.
Is confident. You can have the difficult conversation, challenge a manager when needed and stand behind a fair decision.
Is practical. You don't create HR processes just for the sake of having processes. You find solutions that work in the real world.
Is approachable. People trust you, talk to you and know you'll listen.
Is business minded You understand that good people practices need to support productivity, performance and the success of the business.
Gets things done. You don't leave issues sitting in your inbox. You take ownership and follow them through.
Is resilient. Manufacturing can be fast-paced, unpredictable and occasionally challenging. You need to be comfortable with that.
What you'll bring
You'll have solid experience in a generalist or operational HR role, strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and the confidence to independently manage employee relations, recruitment and performance matters.
Experience in manufacturing, logistics or another hands-on operational environment will be highly regarded.
Why Polymaster?
Because you'll actually make a difference.
Polymaster is a growing Australian manufacturing business where people, performance and getting things done matter.
You'll work directly with our leadership team and workforce and have the opportunity to shape how we recruit, develop, manage and retain our people.
If you're an HR professional who likes people, isn't afraid of a challenge and wants to be part of the action — we want to hear from you.
