The opportunity
The Fleet Maintenance and Service Technician will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and repair of the Swan Hill fleet of 14 trucks and trailers and various fleet cars across the business.
Core duties:

Liaising with operations staff on vehicle availability against maintenance schedules, making sure vehicles are maintained and ready to use as required

Responding to, investigating and repairing vehicle defects with urgency, as notified by drivers.

Undertaking quality truck and trailer repair, service and maintenance activities to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness.
- Diagnose and repair/ order and replace parts when required.

Attend local breakdowns.

Engaging external contractors for specialised works

About you
To thrive in this role, you will possess the following Skills and attributes:
- Possess a Trade Qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or similar with a minimum of 5 years experience
- Previous welding experience
- MR license - preferred but not essential
- Forklift License – preferred but not essential
- Willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done in deliverables to our customers internally and externally, with a strong work ethic
- Demonstrated problem solver
- Ability to work safely and unsupervised, as a great team player
- Highly motivated and organised to set and achieve goals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use in house computer systems
