The Role
Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our powder production plant. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, preparing accurate financial reports, and supporting the leadership team with strategic insights to drive the business forward.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations to management.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of plant-specific operational costs.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including BAS, GST, PAYG, and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records for audits and liaise with external auditors as required.
- Develop and implement internal financial controls and policies to safeguard company assets.
About You
If you are a results-driven finance professional with a passion for precision and operational excellence, we want you on our team!
You will have
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with experience in a manufacturing or production environment highly desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent open communication style and interpersonal abilities.
- Agile and flexible approach to change
