We are a growing manufacturing business and are now looking to expand our manufacturing capabilities to a national level. With a newly acquired manufacturing site in Ipswich we are looking for a Production /Site Manager to join our amazing team.

 

The role

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will initially focus on establishing the warehousing and distribution of freight into Queensland from our Victorian plants while setting up plant, equipment and resources ready for production to commence by June 2023. 

this role will be responsible for

  • Warehousing and distribution of freight within Queensland and Northern NSW
  • Setting up of plant and equipment in conjunction with the Head of Operations ready for production;
  • Recruitment, training and management of production staff 
  • Plan, organise and direct the manufacturing operations to ensure the most effective utilisation of plant, equipment and labour.
  • Review production KPI, statistics and control labour costs. Provide a weekly and Monthly KPI to the Head of Operations.
  • Managing OH&S responsibilities
  • Identification and recording of product quality non-conformance and develop process, procedures and training to remove any QA issue

 

About You

Crucial to your success is your proven experience as a Production and/or Warehouse Supervisor as well as your ability to establish operational requirements and implement and embed process. A forklift licence is also a must.
